Four Members of EC2G participated in the Fifth Brazilian School of Combustion and International Combustion Institute Summer School.

José Morán, Julio Pino, Nicolás Hernandez and Christopher Volkwein has participated in the Brazilian School of Combustion (BSC). The BSC was focus on Computational Models and Advanced Diagnostic Techniques for Combustion Systems. Courses and Lectures were emphasized the use of alternative and renewable fuels. Particularly ethanol, residual and synthesis gas from the processing of biomass, and their combined combustion with fossil fuels.

"This was an experience for look the international scenario on Combustion research, and special in south America. Today, the need for research and development activities has risen sharply in the area of alternative fuels, and energy efficiency" José Morán said.
